Peg-in (From Bitcoin to Side Chain)

  1. Visit Side Station, go to the Bridge section, and select Transfer.

  2. Choose BTC, enter the amount you want to bridge, and click Next.

  3. Review the transaction details carefully, ensuring the UTXO used does not contain inscripted assets, then confirm.

  4. In the pop-up window from your Bitcoin wallet, double-check the inputs and outputs, and confirm the transaction.

Once confirmed:

  1. Go back to the Bridge section and select Explorer.

  2. You’ll see your bridging transaction marked as Pending. Bridging requires 6 confirmations (usually about 1 hour) to complete.

To track the progress:

  1. Click Bitcoin Transaction, which will redirect you to Mempool.

  2. There, you can see how many confirmations have been made on the Bitcoin mainnet.

Peg-out (From Side Chain to Bitcoin):

Peg-out is the reverse of peg-in. Select sBTC as the asset and follow similar steps.

Note: For peg-out, you need to pay gas fees on Side Chain. If you don’t have SIDE tokens, you can switch your gas token from SIDE to sBTC by following this instruction: .
